Morsø 5660

An original wood burning stove with the joys of a crackling fire

Continuing the Morsø heritage, the 5660 insert is manufactured in high grade cast iron. Cast iron not only has excellent heat-retaining properties but it is also distributes a steady, even and comfortable warmth to the room. The new Morso 5660 insert is already classed amongst the most environmentally friendly inserts in the world.

Creating comfort and cosiness in any home

The Morso 5660 insert is probably the cleanest and most modern appliance in its class. The natural texture of the cast iron surface makes for a rustic yet elegant appearance. Relative to its size, the 5660 insert has a large ‘air-washed’ window,  providing a  beautiful unbroken view of the dancing flames. The simple design of the 5660 insert will create comfort and cosiness in any home and the simple control lever positioned at its base makes the 5660 extremely user-friendly.

Unique combustion system – an environmentally friendly stove

Design and function are combined  in Morso’s new insert. The large combustion chamber can take logs of up to 50cm, and its square design maximises the combustion capacity. The Morso 5660 is capable of heating an area of up to 100 cubic metres. The outer firebox is ribbed in order to increase its surface area thereby increasing the effectiveness of natural hot convection. The 5660 insert incorporates an advanced non-catalytic combustion system which dramatically reduces smoke emissions.

Hi! Is it possible to access the chimney, in order to sweep it, through this stove or is other access required?

    • morsouk

      Hi Rich,

Yes it is possible to sweep through the 5660, but you would have to get the baffle out in order to do it.

  • morsouk

    Hi Rob,

    Thank you for your enquiry.

Fitting an outside air kit to the 5660 will not affect how the temperature and heat can be regulated. The biggest change will most likely by the change in the degree of the air coming from outside rather than from the inside of your room. However this will not matter once it has travelled around the stove and reaches the firebox.

    Hi Doug,

    The procedure is fairly easy.

Simply lift the baffle slighty while lowering the fire bricks – and you should be able to gently take the baffle out.
